At
Polraen,
meals are enjoyed in the airy non smoking dining room overlooking
the garden. Our evening dinner menus include vegetarian options
and children's dishes, while fresh fish and seafood are a speciality.
We pride ourselves
on preparing meals that are home made and individually prepared,
using the finest locally sourced ingredients, served in our
non-smoking dining room from 7pm.
Cornish
produce is key - fish and scallops direct from Looe Quay,
locally sourced meat, Cornish ice cream with our home made puddings,
and a distinctly Cornish cheeseboard. During
your visit, be sure to sample local apple juice and cider produced
in the Looe Valley & Cornish Real Ale.
Breakfast at Polraen
Our Traditional Full English Cooked Breakfast
includes all the trimmings using local produce wherever possible,
including free range eggs, fruit juices and cereals, fine preserves,
and locally made sausages. Alternative breakfast choices include
Porridge
soaked overnight or delicious Smoked Kippers. Perhaps
you prefer the idea of our Fresh Fruit Medley - exotic and seasonal
fruits served simply in a bowl for you to add natural yoghurt
or honey. However you like your eggs, no problem - just ask.
And, if you have any special requirements, either dietary or
because you simply fancy something different, we will do our
best to satisfy them.
Evening Dining
Polraen receives a Crusted Pie Symbol
from the AA for good food. For evening meals, hotel residents
and their guests can choose just a main course dish or have
up to three courses as required. A 3 course meal is from approximately
£17 per head with a main course from £8.95. Meals are served
from 7 pm in the Dining Room (non-smoking). As meals are individually
prepared and home-cooked with fresh ingredients frequently sourced
'on the day' from local suppliers, we request menu choices by
11 am on the day to avoid disappointment. Please note that the
Dining Room and Bar are closed on Sunday evenings. At all times,
we are happy to assist with bookings at local restaurants. .Click

Children's Meals - A healthy children's menu at £5.95
for 2 courses is served. Children are welcome to dine with their
parents at 7pm
Wines - We have attempted to choose examples of quality wines using
the most popular grape varieties from new World wineries.
By popular demand and when weather permits, we occasionally hold outdoor
summer barbecues.
Weddings, Family/Private Functions and Meetings
The ambience that prevails at Polraen is that of a private country house
which makes it an ideal venue for family celebrations. Tasteful
refurbishment has created a wonderfully relaxed venue for small
weddings, Christenings, birthdays and social gatherings at any time of
year. Polraen may be booked for weddings and private functions with a
menu tailored to your needs. We can cater for parties of up to 24 for
seated meals or 50 buffet style. Outside of the peak season, we can also
provide total privacy for executive meetings and small corporate events
(both residential and non-residential).
